Called to Care: A Christian Theology of Nursing

This book began as a conversation. It was the summer of 1984 at the Nurses Christian Fellowship conference in Burton, Ohio. Although we had heard about one another for several years, this was the firt time we had actually met. We began to talk about our hopes and dreams for nursing - and our concerns. We concluded the conversation by agreeing that, if trends continued as they were, nursing as we knew it would cease to exist in ten years. Then we prayed for the profession we both loved.
